We have started a new idea for our members.  We have chosen to call it the

SPECIAL PROMOTION OF THE MONTH.

We will be selecting a different item each month and giving you a special loan rate for that product that month. 

Anyone who is approved to borrow money for the purpose of the month will be awarded a special rate of only 10.00%, to be repaid within 12 months.

We have two different scholarships available for college students.  The scholarships are as follows:

  1. The R. L. (Duke) Sonnenburg / Hockley County School Employees Credit Union Scholarship.  This scholarship was established in 1997 when Mr. Sonnenburg retired from the Credit Union.  Mr. Sonnenburg was the former CEO of the Credit Union, and served in that capacity for 42 years.  This scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors who are members of the credit union, or who is a legal dependent of a member of the credit union.  This scholarship is for $250 per semester for four semesters at South Plains College.

  2. The Ira "Dale" Albright / Hockley County School Employees Credit Union Scholarship.  This scholarship was established in 2003 when Mr. Albright passed away.  Mr. Albright served on the Credit Union's Board of Directors for approximately 15 years.  The last 10 years, Mr. Albright was the President of the Board of Directors.  This scholarship is for a 3rd or 4th year college student who is declared to be an Education major.  This scholarship is also for $250 per semester for four semesters at the college/university at the recipient's choice.  The recipient must be a credit union member, or a legal dependent of a credit union member.
